14. Live In Manchester (14.20)

This was a concert organised by a university friend at his secondary school in Manchester.

​

I played four songs:

​

- Take me to the Lover

- Memories

- The Birthday Smile

- The People of the King

 

It was recorded on the Philips.

 

We travelled there from Sheffield, and all slept on the floor of someone’s lounge.

 

The headliners were Cabaret Voltaire – they became famous. I’ve got a story about their set, ask me when you see me.

 

I went on before them. My style is a bit different (to say the least!) but I got the kids going and very satisfying to get a big cheer at the end.

 

Never happened since.....
